Info

So you've noticed that you're driving around town on completely bald tyres and you're ready to plunk down some cash for 4 shiny new radials. How do you find the tyre size and what do all those numbers mean?

Read On! Tyre sizes look confusing but they follow a standard format and are divided into 3 numbers and will look like the following: P205/75R15. The first number is the width, the second number is the "aspect ratio" (or width divided by height)and the third number is the diameter of the rim. The "R" stands for radial. If you are replacing tires, it is critical to use the correct size.  You can locate the tyre size on the side of the tyre itself, the owner's manual, the auto manufacturer's website or a tyre retailer's website. If you use a website you will need the year, make and model of your car.
